Preparing for Your
Installation
Installation day is when your project comes together. Our crew will deliver your finished countertops, set them in place, complete any seams, and attach undermount sinks. Countertops are heavy and need careful handling, so a little preparation helps the day go safely and on schedule.
Before your installation appointment,
please make sure:
Nothing has changed since template.
Your countertops are cut to the exact measurements taken at template. If cabinets have been moved, added, or adjusted, or if your sink, faucet, cooktop, or appliance selections have changed, contact us before installation day.
Cabinets are empty and clear.
Please remove everything from the tops of your cabinets and empty the sink base and any cabinets under the cooktop. Our crew needs room to work inside them.
There's a clear path for our crew.
We'll be carrying large, heavy pieces from our truck to your kitchen. Please clear walkways, move rugs and fragile items, and leave parking near the entrance.
We know how to get in.
Let us know about gate codes, parking, or anything else we should know about getting into your home.
Plumbing, gas, and appliances are still disconnected.
Please don't reconnect anything until installation is complete.
Sinks, faucets, and appliances are on site.
We'll need them to confirm fit and finish your sink installation.
Power is available.
Our crew will need access to an electrical outlet near the work area.
The work area is clear of other trades,
such as painters, flooring crews, or plumbers, during your appointment.
Pets and children are kept away from the work area.
Heavy materials and tools are being moved, so it's safest for everyone.
Your plumber is scheduled for after installation.
Sink adhesives need time to cure before plumbing is reconnected, so please don't schedule plumbing for the same day.
An adult decision-maker is home at the start and end of the appointment.
We'll go over your countertops with you once installation is finished and get your sign-off.
Installation can create some dust. We take care to keep the work area clean, but you may want to cover nearby furniture or electronics.
Taking care of these items ahead of time helps your installation go smoothly so you can start enjoying your new countertops. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
